About Team Pathogen-Mediated Modulation of Innate Immunity (PMI)

The objective of the group, headed by Dr. Bachir El Debs is to understand key molecular and cellular mechanisms at the pathogen-host interface which could be exploited as potential targets for the treatment of multiple chronic inflammatory diseases.

The Position

We are looking for highly enthusiastic researchers to broaden our think-tank with their intellectual power and technical excellence. The ideal candidate would have a Master’s degree or equivalent in cell biology, biochemistry or immunology and a strong background in tissue culture, protein biochemistry or assay development.

Required skills

  • Cell / Tissue culture
  • Primary cells isolation and maintenance
  • Protein biochemistry, expression, purification etc.
  • Basic molecular biology experience (cloning, PCRs, etc.)
  • Independent thinking and proactive personality
  • Experienced in working within interdisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Additional preferred skills

  • Hands on microscopy
  • Hands on macrophage assays (or other immune related experience)
  • Assay development
  • Protein pull-downs
  • Proteomics
